Ghorenfore feels the blood run down his face, he hears Hlin tell him to move. But he can barely registar anything Hlin says in his mind. Pain seems to come from all over. His target is the only thing he knows, and Pelor is the only thing he feels.

NARRATION:

GHORENFORE delivers retribution as he slashes at W2's dessicated flesh. The first attack opens up a deep wound on W2's back. Black, stinking bile oozes from the wound. The second attack from GHORENFORE decapitates W2. A pool of black bile pours from its neck.

Ghorenfore paused a moment to catch his breath, the pain still radiated all over his body. Feeling weaker he shouldered himself up and looked down at the decayed remnants of his enemy.
“That could have gone better,-”
Looking around he shook his head
“-maybe next time without the fall down the slope.”
The attempt at humor was his attempt to hide the weakness he now felt coursing through his veins. It was hard to put into words and he never would say anything about it to anyone, so he merely smiled and looked at Hlin.
“Sorry Hlin I’ll let you have the next one, I promise!” he said winking at her.

Ghorenfore placed his hand over his face and said a silent prayer of thanks to pelor

The healing didn’t help much for his weakened state but he held it together pretty well despite the mark across his face, and the pain that accompanied that as well.

LUSULA nods to GHORENFORE
Well, we have three choices to--

Her telepathic conversation with the party is quickly cut short. GHORENFORE sees her lupine ears stiffen and her muzzle quivers.

MARTIN notices PA'CHEEN straightens his back, alert. PA'CHEEN's head darts toward the south and east passages.

FENNIGAN turns to stare down the east passage, attempting to pierce the darkness with his light source.
"I hear something."

MARTIN's instincts follow FENNIGAN's alarm. MARTIN sees just beyond the shadowy illumination of the torch to see three foes approaching down the narrow corridor. Although he only sees white humanoids on a black background (due to Darkvision limitations), he can make out emaciated humanoids creeping down the passage slowly. The humanoids have wicked claws and fang-filled mouths. The humanoids also have long, pointed ears, like elves. Then MARTIN's ears pick up low growls of insatiable hunger and the scuffling of more pairs of feet out of sight down the east passage. He also hears a lot of activity coming from the southern passage.

The lead creature coming down the east passage locks eyes with MARTIN.

The moment LUSULA ears straighten, GHORENFORE also hears movement to the east and south. Sounds to the east are muffled, but he hears many low growls emanating from the south passage. More foes are approaching, although he cannot see them.

PA'CHEEN
Foes coming from east corridor. I hear five of them. A terrible stench accompanies them.

LUSULA
More foes coming from the south, uncertain of the number. What is that stench?

No one else can smell anything abnormal.

No, GHORENFORE, I'll take point down the south passage. It's what I do.

PA'CHEEN heads down the south corridor with a gleam in his eyes and saliva running out of his mouth. He moves 25 FEET.

FENNIGAN nods to LOWLYN and steps out of the way. Stepping to LOWLYN's side, FENNIGAN leans down to pick up MARTIN's longbow. He slings it over his back.
"Have fun, Lieutenant. I can't see a damn thing out there."

ROUND ONE: G16 + OTHERS
G16 rushes toward HLIN, nearly pushing G1 into the wall. HLIN sees eyes wild with hunger, the only emotion G16 can muster. HLIN and MARTIN are assaulted by a terrific stench, an aroma so strong that they taste decay on their tongue and down their throat.

G16 attempts a bite on the inside of HLIN's elbow.
