Martin notices movement along the wall to his right or was the wall moving itself?

At the next moment a terrible cry, both angry and pained, echoes down the hall. A creature pulls itself from or comes out of the wall. Through Martin's darkvision he can discern a halfling's face. However the Halfling face is at Martin's height and appears to be hovering in place. Its left ear is resting on its left shoulder and its upper spine is protruding from its neck. As the final nail in the coffin, Martin also notices that the floating Halfling is incorporeal and leaves a trail of black shadowy tendrils from its body. It's the tortured soul of a Halfling: a wraith.

Hlin and Martin hear another scream respond to the first scream, and a second Halfling wraith appears from the wall down the southern passage.

Fennigan looks down the passage ahead of Jacob. 
"All of my offensive abilities need line of site, except one, and that one will hit everyone n the vicinity. Wait, I got an idea I can get Marilyn to their aid. We need the team to pull back into this room."

He steps aside so Marilyn can move down the stairs.

Round One: Marilyn

Marilyn walks down the stairs and stands to the opposite side of the stairs from Fennigan.
"I agree, the corridor is too thin to mount a proper offensive!"

Round One: Jacob

Jacob nods in agreement.
"Hlin, start moving the rest of the team back. I'll hold position in the corridor until you pass me. Lowlyn, cover the team if you can see what is pursuing them. Also, be careful not to expose your flank to your target during your withdrawal."

Round One: Lowlyn

Lowlyn steps down and stands between Fennigan and Marilyn. He readies his bow.
"Let them come."

All four of the other characters are readying an action to await the arrival of foes. They will be able to react once the wraiths reveal themselves to them.

Special Note: Technically an incorporeal creature could attack through the cover provided by the bend in a corridor if it can reach. Although this would give the target total concealment (50% chance to miss) as the wraith can't actually see around the bend.
