Appearance:
Forlin has a modest appearance. He wears traveller's clothes, when not in armor, and his holy symbol is always noticeable, hanging from his neck. His pale blue eyes sparkle intensely with a genuine desire to lend aid. He walks silently with his head bent slightly down as if always in prayer.

Personality:
Forlin tends to be quiet and reserved on most occasions. He speaks infrequently, but succintly. He feels that silence is the natural order of things and words need only be spoken when the are well thought out and important for the situation at hand.

Background:
Forlin spent his apprenticeship among priests in Yeomanry. He took over a small wayside shrine when his teachers left on a journey near the famed Kendall's Keep. He met Quentin and Becca when they came to him wounded, and Forlin stayed with them on their journeys. While a war zone is not his original plan, he has seen pain he can alleviate.

Motivation/Goals:
During his stay near Kendall's Keep, Forlin saw a number of hurt and dying adventurers who unsuccessfully tried to enter the passages that lead under the Hellfurnaces to the Sea of Dust. He was always taught to aid in the healing of travellers, and adventurers seem to need succor most of all. At present, he is lending his healing hand to his friends and the expeditionary forces from Hochoch into Giant-occupied Geoff.

Appearance:
It's a dwarf. You've seen one, you've seen them all. Wait... Is he skipping? What kind of freak dwarf whistles & skips his way through the dim forest?!

Personality:
Being a dwarf is only skin deep. Arlie's a halfling at heart. He doesn't necessarily intend to be the leader; he's just really outgoing & eager to meet new people. He's usually careful & intelligent, but there's always the occasional witty remark or brash action getting him into trouble.

Background:
Arlie grew up as a halfling in a primarily Elven community. He enjoyed exploring nature, gradually becoming a ranger. His above-average intelligence, however, also made him intrigued by intellectual & political debates. This, along with typical halfling antics, cultivated his interests as a rogue. He impressed some leaders with his dual interests, but was looked down on by others for not focusing his efforts for the best results.

His home town was lost in a giant raid ended by the accidental summoning of a dragon. His current mission to reunite any towns the giants haven't destroyed has seen the loss of his next home town - Luttrell Lake. It has also seen his death & his recent reincarnation as a dwarf.

Motivation / Goals:
Arlie started as a sort of jack-of-all-trades, far as ranger & rogue skills he was learning. The endless fighting & hardships he has endured have brought a focus to his training. He is determined to see the death of the dragon which ruined the land where he grew up. He also has an ever-increasing determination to crush the giants for the death & destruction they have spread across Geoff.

Appearance:
It's one more orc, but Why is he walking freely with people at war with orcs?

Personality:
Lost, confused, bitter, & angry, with a major urge for vengeance. His harsh feelings make him more reckless & have caused him to withdraw from or lash out at people who would otherwise eagerly assist him.

Background:
Martin's childhood home was effectively destroyed by giant invasions. He joined the Hocoach Army seeking training & revenge. He rose through the ranks from a mix of military losses & talent as a scout & hunter. A fire giant's blade cost him everything. Reincarnation brought him back in the body of an enemy race. He has yet to fully realize how appropriate that is given the negative feelings which drove him to continue the fight.

Motivation / Goals:
Martin spent most of his human life driven by revenge for all he lost. That drive only deepened after reincarnation. Unfortunately, Martin is repulsed by his new form & longs to be something else.

Appearance:
HIMO is a rugged and unkept warrior. HIMO’s long, wild hair stops just below his shoulder blades, some of it is tied in a ponytail. He has three prominent scars from earlier in his career: a chest wound from a lucky goblin, morningstar blow to the head just above the right eyebrow, and wounds on the left hand from a bear mauling. HIMO also has a tribal tattoo with the name of his daughter concealed on his right triceps.

Personality:
HIMO is a gruff and straightforward warrior veteran. His heart is always on the battlefield. He looks forward to the next challenge with a fearless smile on his face. He is a relentless fighter against his enemies; he is without fear. HIMO is loyal to those he befriends; however, friendships outside of his tribe are difficult to grow.

Background:
HIMO’s Sula tribe is the only known tribe of wild elves in the Oytwood. They have been around for many years, but the tribe is mum on where their home used to be. When the giants invaded, the Sula went into hiding, which did not suit HIMO’s taste for battle. Instead of hiding, HIMO went looking for trouble. Since that time he has become part of a strange new “tribe”.

Motivation/Goals:
Kick the giants out of the Oytwood. Reunite with the tribe and become the chief.

Appearance:
HLIN is a stocky dwarven woman. Her plate mail nearly scraps along the walls if she were walking down a 5ft corridor. She looks like a 4 foot tall armory. Her braided brown hair flows out her helm and down her back. She wears an open-faced helm stamped with her clan symbol on each side (sword through a multi-faceted gem). She has a feathered plume colored sapphire blue and ruby red. Plate mail is also emblazoned with her clan symbol.  

Personality:
HLIN is a woman of action and has little patience in boring (noncombat) situations. She is not fond of flowing water or being away from the feel of the earth. She is most comfortable in her armor and fears being caught in a combat situation without her armor. By contrast, HLIN loves children.    

Background:
HLIN left her clan in the Crystalmists due to infighting. The clans of dwarves in the mountains want to aid the human lands against the giants, but their bickering with each other has led to inaction. HLIN left to go prove herself and met up with gnomes from the Stark Mounds. She traveled to Lynlai with a small team of gnomes and Halflings to garner alliances with the elves. The group traveled from Hopemeet, to Nulai, to Oytlove (where they were chased away under a barrage of arrows), and to Lynlai. The gnomes remained in Lynlai and HLIN left with her current team to seek out the humans of Hochoch.

Motivation/Goals:
Return to her clan as the greatest weapon master of legend. HLIN wants songs sang about her and battle hymns inspired by her. What better way to become the best then to take on every giant she lays eyes on?

Belated 2014 Christmas Presents:


Martin: Lesser Crystal of Acid Assault (adds +1d6 acid damage when attached to any weapon with a +1 or better enhancement)

Arlie: Ring of Sustenance also has Jumping added to the ring (+5 competence bonus to Jump skills). This new ability will function as soon as the ring is put on.

Hlin: Lesser Crystal of Demolition (adds +1d6 weapon damage to constructs when added to any weapon with a +1 of better enhancement; also overcomes Adamantine damage reduction)
