ROUND THREE: Fennigan/Lusula
Fennigan heads west and finds cover just SOUTH of Martin. Fennigan chants and a purple glow covers his body and disappears when his chanting ceases.

Lusula sends out a telepathic message
Martin, Lowlyn, I can smell an opponent SOUTHEAST of my position, but I cannot pinpoint it, yet.

Lusula waves her right hand in Pa'cheen's direction. A white globe of light appears 30 FEET to his SOUTH. It explodes into a hemisphere of white light that diminishes instantly.
Your way is clear, Pacheen, at least 30 FEET south of you and Marilyn.

ROUND THREE: Marilyn

Marilyn chants and places her hand on her ankle. Wounds are her body heal. Reinvigorated she moves just SOUTH of Pa'cheen, using trees for cover.

ROUND THREE: SC:

SC plants its front feet into the ground, rears up on its hind legs, and spits a greenish-yellow glob. The glob falls at Marilyn's feet and explodes in a puff of greenish-yellow fog in a 20 FOOT radius. The fog is thick completely concealing Marilyn and Pa'cheen inside of it. Sounds of agony coming out of the fog hint at a lethal nature.

ROUND THREE: S7:

Lowlyn, Martin, and Lusula hear the click of a loaded crossbow and a bolt launches again from the southeast. The bolt is embedded in dead tree at Fennigan's location. The sniper is still not visible.

ROUND THREE: U12/HU1/UB1:

The greenish-yellow fog blocks the vision of these opponents. Some loud chanting can be heard.

ROUND 4: Pa'Cheen

The greenish-yellow cloud reverberates with magical energy for an instant. Afterward, Pa'Cheen and Marilyn pop into existence far to the southwest of the cloud. Pa'Cheen supports Marilyn as the cleric steadies her balance.

ROUND THREE: LOWLYN

Lowlyn shouts back in Martin's direction.
"I think I can help with the hunting; stay within 20 FEET of me!"

Lowlyn clutches a medallion underneath his armor. He chants in the archaic language of power. As he chants Martin watches his vision blur and a low droning fills his ears. Lowlyn utters his last word and Martin's vision snaps back into a clearing focus, his hearing is crisper.

DM NOTE: Lowlyn has cast Linked Percpetion (PHBII pg. 117). It grants a +2 bonus/ally to Spot and Listen to all allies within 20 FEET of Lowlyn.

At the moment their are three people in the radius so each character in that radius has a +6 to Spot and Listen checks.

ROUND THREE: Fennigan
Fennigan moves NORTH to Martin's old position. Taking cover behind the trees he starts chanting and spreads his arms around him. Grayish clouds coalesce around Fennigan and spread out to a 20 FOOT radius. The mists Fennigan conjures is enough to give added concealment.

ROUND THREE: Lusula
Lusula moves SOUTHEAST in the direction she first scented the sniper. She moves just far enough to stay within the radius of Lowlyn's spell.
Martin, Lowlyn, he is somewhere to my WEST. but I still can't see it!

ROUND THREE: Marilyn
Marilyn acknowledges Hlin's approach with a nod. Weak in body, but incredibly confident, Marilyn strolls 20 FEET WEST toward the enemy camp. She chants and waves her hand, open palm, in front of her face. When she stops chanting a black mist is expelled from her hand covering her body for a brief instant and then vanishes.

SC's cloud spell moves EAST 10 FEET.

SC moves SOUTHEAST to await its approaching foes. With its tongue still aflame, it flings another torch-sized flame in Marilyn's direction. Marilyn takes another hit from the flame, but the flame harmlessly dissipates against Marilyn's protective magic.

ROUND THREE: S2
Another sniper fires from seclusion, targeting Marilyn. The bolt absently bounces off Marilyn's shield.

ROUND THREE: S7
Martin hears a twang from a crossbow to his EAST. He sees Lowlyn take a bolt in the upper thigh.

ROUND THREE: U12
U12 moves his position and fires on Marilyn. Marilyn takes a solid hit from U12 as the arrow rips through her mail, striking her shoulder blade.

ROUND THREE: HU1/UB1
HU1 moves 20 FEET EAST. It stops at its new position and begins chanting in its dead, dry monotone. It extends its arms and continues to chant. It turns to several positions around it reaching to the ground with open skeletal hands. The ground in a wide area around HU1 begins to move as if many small things were digging out.

ROUND 4: Pa'cheen

Pa'cheen rushes past Marilyn.
"I'll soften the berks up for you!"

He slaps the palms of his clawed hands together. Bluish-white color emanates from the space between his hands. When Pa'cheen opens his hands, energy in the form of a bluish-white cone of frost and ice lashes out 60 FEET ahead of him. The spell engulfs SC, UB1, and HU1. U12 is only barely saved by being just out of the burst.

SC rolls from the blast, but gets its backside caught. However, it is undamaged. HU1 manages to evade part of the blast, taking only minimal damage. UB1 goes to ground and the spell harmlessly passes over it.

Pa'cheen shrugs as he gauges the effectiveness of his attack. He smiles aggressively, bearing his large canines.

Now that Hlin is positioned closer to Pa'cheen, she can see the bulldog-like, insectoid creature SC, U12, HU1, and UB1.

ROUND FOUR: Fennigan
"What the hells, let's see what happens."

Fennigan pulls out a scroll and starts chanting the last words of an incantation. He reaches out with his right hand in Martin's direction. A sound similar to moving wind chimes falls in an area to the WEST of Lowlyn and Lusula.

Directly 10 FEET of Lowlyn a blue-skinned humanoid is suddenly visible against a tree. The creature falls to the ground, his chest heaving deeply. He's sound asleep.
S7 (73, 21)

ROUND FOUR: Lusula
Lusula watches S7 fall to the ground asleep.
He'll be out for a little while.

She turns to the greenish-yellow cloud still on the battlefield. With a toss of her clawed hand a dome of white sparks covers the fog cloud. The sparks collapse in on the greenish-yellow cloud, the cloud vanishes.

Satisfied Lusula moves closer to the enemy camp.

ROUND FOUR: Marilyn
Marilyn moves next to Hlin. She spots HU1 and smiles. She chants and moves her hands in front of her in wild, erratic patterns. Motes of white light form in the tracks of her hands. She shouts her last word, straightens her right arm in HU1's direction--palm open. and all motes of light concentrate before her palm. In a flash the motes of light from a ray that arcs toward HU1.

HU1 is lit up and instantaneously incinerated, leaving behind the gear and rags it wore. The ground ceases to stir. UB1 collapses, a lifeless corpse.

Marilyn grunts and nods approvingly.

ROUND FOUR: S16
Another Sniper! From somewhere in the enemy's camp a bolt flies out from the shadows and hits Marilyn. The bolt penetrates her banded mail, striking just below her lung. Marilyn recoils from the blow.

ROUND FOUR: SC
SC follows up immediately. It its stands on its hind legs. It opens its mouth wide. Hlin can see that the creature has two sets of jaws, one vertical and one horizontal, with razor teeth. As the creature drops back to all fours it lets out a deep roar. Hlin feels a concussive blast hit her. Pain threatens to rip apart her ears, the blast also causes her bones and organs feel compressed.

Pa'cheen bows his head slightly from the attack, shaking off the worst effects. Marilyn fares terribly. She screams in agony and blood flows from her ears. She clutches her body attempting to soothe her crushing pains.

The map attached shows the cone effect of the shout spell.

Pa'cheen rushes to SC and engages the creature. Pa'cheen bites into the SC's back. The lupinal pierces the SC'c chitinous armor plating. SC bellows in pain, his tentacle-tongue whipping furiously around. Pa'cheen attempts to bring the creature to the ground, but SC is too stable and Pa'cheen releases his hold.
