ROUND FOUR: HLIN's RESULTS

HLIN pounds his axe deep into the chest and abdomen of the undead creature before him, DAGGER. Each blow makes deep wounds into the decaying cavity of the undead. Pieces of decomposing organs fall out, but DAGGER remains standing. The smell of methane fills HLIN's nostrils.

NEXT: FENNIGAN

FENNIGAN is still bleeding and unconscious from sustained wounds. The vegetation and litter of dead leaves are turning a bright scarlet color from flowing blood.

NEXT: FORLIN

FORLIN rushes to FENNIGAN's side. FORLIN drops to the ground, looking over FENNIGAN's head wounds. FORLIN places his hands on FENNIGAN's head and chants. He raises his left hand slowly off of FENNIGAN, followed by his right. Wounds begin to heal as FORLIN's hands release their hold. Enough of the wounds heal that FENNIGAN opens his eyes and groans.

FORLIN looks down at him.
"Well, comrade, we still have work to do."
FORLIN then looks up at GHORENFORE, the TROLL PALADIN.
"FENNIGAN and I are going to need a little bit of time, but we will find your spellcaster. That is if you cannot."

ROUND FIVE: DAGGER

DAGGER, the CORPSE BANDIT LEADER, moves back from HLIN quickly. DAGGER gives HLIN the wide berth, and heads SOUTH (No AoO possible). Her speed appears unnatural. DAGGER appears to blur as it runs. DAGGER disappears into the shadowy light beyond the daylight spell. However, those with low-light vision can still barely make it out. Except for HLIN and GHORENFORE, no one else with darkvision can spot it, and it is nearly out of HLIN's sight.

HLIN does see the undead creature drink a potion. Most of the wounds sustained last round close up.

LOWLYN heads SOUTH to meet up with HLIN.
"Lieutenant, HLIN and I will take care of the trouble down here. We will meet up with you when we are finished. Lieutenant, make sure BRAKUS takes GLASSBLOWER to the SOUTHEAST so FORLIN can get to her!"
Close behind HLIN, LOWLYN nocks two arrows between his fingers and fires both at DAGGER in the distance. Both arrows fly into the darkness, DAGGER drops low to the ground to dodge them. LOWLYN curses.

FANG, while thankful for the healing, is exuding feelings of uncertainty with FAWN. FANG is angry and upset at being scolded for trying her best.

As FAWN steps next to FANG at (18,15), she feels the ground revolt at her presence. Pain, like many small daggers, rip through her feet again.

FENNIGAN stands up, using FORLIN for support.
"I still need some help from you, my friend."

From his component pouch, FENNIGAN pulls out a loop of copper wire. He appears to chant into the copper wire. As he chants he points at FORLIN, GHORENFORE, HLIN, ALEX, LOWLYN. He swings his arm to FAWN and MARTIN in the distance. He stops the chanting, the copper wire does not vanish.

FENNIGAN then begins to speak, but his voice is very low, inaudible. However, FENNIGAN's whisper reaches all the aforementioned characters' ears.
"Talk in whispers now. FORLIN and I will take to the air and launch light spells to find our spellcaster, while all of you regroup. We'll be invisible. We'll start in the NORTHWEST and head counterclockwise. When we find the spellcaster, we will hit it with everything we have. Then you move in. Keep your eyes peeled for the enemy, move in if you see them."

DM: Mention that you are whispering when you speak on your posts, or I will assume you are speaking aloud.

FORLIN looks over FENNIGAN again. FORLIN touches FENNIGAN's wounds and begins chanting. The chanting ends as FORLIN pulls his hands away. More of FENNIGAN's wounds begin to heal. FENNIGAN is still quite hurt.

FORLIN turns to ALEX. FORLIN speaks in a whisper that magically reaches ALEX's ears.
"Take some time to heal yourself, ALEX. I've seen you do it."
Another whisper reaches everyone's ears.
"That goes for the rest of you. Get yourselves ready; it's unlikely our target will not take kindly to being discovered."
FORLIN drops his staff, still enchanted with daylight at his feet.
