Martin hears the whispers of D and HU2. HU3 stays at its position, waiting for the argument to be resolved.

Martin cannot make out the conversation in whispers, but it ends in a shout from HU2.

"We wait! They come!"

As if the creatures broken Elven was a summoning, time and space warp in the middle of the camp. Two flashes of light and electricity blind the area for a split second as two new foes appear.

The two foes are armored insect-like creatures with the bulk of dire bulldogs. Each creature has two sets of jaws, one vertical and one horizontal, with a long, barbed tongue licking the air around it.

HU2 seems smug, staring at D.
"They came."

Pa'cheen looks at Fennigan then Martin. Pa'cheen sends a message to all members of the party.
The 'loth brought a friend. It's now or never.

The arrow flies true hit HU2 center mass.

SURPRISE ROUND: Fennigan

Fennigan begins chanting in a low whisper. He moves to get a better position to fire at HU2. He stuffs a bit of lamb's fur into a glass rod and puts it in HU2's direction. With a final shout of archaic power, a bolt of lightning arcs from the glass rod, destroying the rod. HU2 ducks from the bolt only being struck in the upper left shoulder. Even worse the bolt appears to hit a sparkling shell around HU2, failing to harm the creature. The bolt continues to arc harmlessly out of the range of any other creature.

Fennigan grimaces,
"That's discouraging."

SURPRISE ROUND: Pa'cheen

The Lupinal grabs Martin and Fennigan and doors out of the darkness globes. The reappear south of their position and close to the thicket.

And now we wait for their move. Lusula, as soon as they attack door to them, we'll follow.

Surprise Round: HU2/CC2

HU2 chants in a thin, cold voice. Its hands gloss over a dart. The dart glows brightly, like a second sun, the moment HU2 stops chanting.

HU2 hurls the dart through the Darkness globes. The magical darkness is immediately dispelled, replaced with the brilliant glow from the dart.

CC2 stays close to HU2

Surprise Round: SC1/SC2

SC2 reacts quickly, instinctively. It braces its front limbs and breathes out a sickly greenish-yellow cloud.

SC1 vanishes instantly in a cascade of sparks and ripples of time. SC1 reappears close to where had been earlier.

Surprise Round: D

D moves from cover to cover, using the cloud SC2 created as concealment. The cloud blocks all vision through it.

Surprise Round: HU3/CC2

HU3 also begins casting a spell, throwing its hands into the air and chanting in a deep echo. Sparks fly from its dead fingertips. HU3 continues chanting.

Surprise Round: Lusula

Lusula grabs Hlin and Marilyn. Space and time begin to warp around them.

I'm dooring us right next to one of those beasts (CC1). Marilyn you have the caster (HU2); Hlin and I will attempt to keep CC1 occupied.

The team doors directly in front of CC1. The beast is massive up close, and certainly undead. It's covered in rotten flesh, exposing dried organs and bone. However, its mouth is gigantic, nearly six feet in length.

Hlin steps out of space and time and digs her axe deep into the dessicated hide of CC1, obviously attracting its attention.

Surprise Round: Marilyn

Marilyn removes her bastard sword from her sheathe. The celestial light from the blade fills the battlefield. All foes, except SC1, burn with white fire from the light.

On top of that she swings at HU2, digging her bastard sword deep into HU2's shoulder and chest.

Condie can I get a Initiative roll from you. Be aware that Pa'cheen, Martin, Fennigan, and Lowlyn will go at the beginning of the round, regardless of initiative roll. They are reinforcements and have not been spotted yet. Also, I plan on dooring Pa'cheen and his team closer to HU3 to engage the second spellcaster.

ROUND ONE: Lusula

Lusula aids Hlin in taking on CC1. She stands toe to toe with the undead beast. She hits it twice with powerful blows from her clawed hands. In an astounding, impossible feat of strength her blows rips of the upper jaw of the beast, destroying it.

Pa'cheen grabs Fennigan and Martin and doors them to a position northwest of CC2 and HU3
