FORLIN holds his holy symbol between his hands, he bows his head, and begins to chant. He sways back and forth as he chants. His swaying is slow at first, but grows quicker as his chanting increases in speed and volume. FORLIN reaches a crescendo and his swaying is now in arcs of a circle, his feet planted as the center. FORLIN returns to a straight posture and expands his arms out, a faint light expands outward beyond the reach of his arms. The light encompasses the party. Everyone in the party feels guided by an unseen hand.

All party members, except FENNIGAN, TA'HEED, and PA'CHEEN are under the effects of Prayer, +1 luck bonus to attack, damage, saves, and skill checks.

FORLIN looks at KIRAK as he finishes casting.

ROUND TWO: TA'HEED/PA'CHEEN

From his perch, PA'CHEEN blasts OOZE with a bluish-white, cone-shaped blizzard. The blizzard stretches across OOZE's rear (according to HLIN's position). A few fragments of OOZE are frozen and blasted off OOZE. Other frozen bits are reabsorbed by OOZE.

TA'HEED flies across the field, meeting PA'CHEEN. TA'HEED follows up PA'CHEEN's attack with his own effortless conjuration of a cone-shaped blizzard. This blizzard rips through OOZE's center mass. A sheet of OOZE is frozen. It slides from the OOZE, collapsing to the ground, some of it is reabsorbed.

ROUND TWO: GLASSBLOWER/LOWLYN

GLASSBLOWER drops her quiver of 50 ARROWS. She pulls out a tiny vial of oil and a piece of flint from her pouch. While chanting, GLASSBLOWER spins her hands erratically, mimicking roaring flames. She uncaps the vial and lets one drop fall onto the piece of flint. She raises the flint into the air, ceases chanting and drops piece of flint. The flint falls toward the quiver and vanishes halfway down. The feathers and shaft of the arrows in the quiver glow red.

GLASSBLOWER looks at FORT TROOPs and CLARA's TROOPS.
"Here are 50 flaming arrows. Grab what you need and spread out. Stay in groups of two."

GLASSBLOWER heads SOUTH toward FENNIGAN's current position.
"LOWLYN, LEYLADIN, you're with me."
GLASSBLOWER (23, 28)

LOWLYN nods and fires at OOZE before moving to meet GLASSBLOWER. Taking advantage of his magically enhanced speed, LOWLYN pulls two arrows from his quiver and fires them together. With lightning speed LOWLYN fires a second volley, before the first two make it to their target. The first volley is wild, flying over the transparent mass. The second volley plugs deep into OOZE.

LOWLYN moves SOUTH, to meet with GLASSBLOWER, keeping himself between her and OOZE.

HLIN's first swing slices through the thick, viscous OOZE. HLIN feels her axe slow and nearly get stuck in OOZE. She is barely able to pull it out. Her second swing lacks the power of the first and harmlessly rubs against OOZE's body. Once again, HLIN is barely able to pull the axe from OOZE.

TO PLAYERS: Any melee attack made on OOZE requires a Reflex save (DC 12) or the weapon is stuck to OOZE. Any miss could also potentially trap your weapon since OOZE really does not dodge blows, it absorbs them. Make Reflex saves on each melee attack made on OOZE. ROUND TWO: FENNIGAN/CLARA's TROOPS

FENNIGAN flies over OOZE, still hovering over 30 FEET above the ground. Once he is over OOZE FENNIGAN pulls out a glass rod. While chanting, he rubs a bit of animal fur quickly over the rod. The fur is rubbed until it is consumed by a growing spark inside the rod. FENNIGAN points the rod down toward OOZE, shouts the last pieces of his incantation, and an arc of lightning is expelled from the rod, consuming it, and ripping into OOZE. A massive ripple effect makes the OOZE seem to shiver. Pieces of OOZE erupt from the contact point.
FENNIGAN (28, 29, 6)

CLARA's TROOPS collect ten enchanted arrows each. Biff (CT #1) fires at OOZE while Stauder (CT #2) and Vic (CT #3) head east to cover HLIN from behind. Biff's arrow hits OOZE, but it only grazes the massive thing. A small explosion of fire engulfs the arrow on impact.

CLARA backs from OOZE, heading toward Biff (CT #1).
"Biff, you stay with me."
She yells to the front of the line.
"HLIN needs backup quickly. She is effectively trapped by the OOZE."
When CLARA reaches Biff, she unleashes an arrow at OOZE. CLARA's arrow strikes true and thuds into OOZE.

DM to GHORENFORE: If KIRAK still wants to use FORLIN's crossbow, he can move to FORLIN and take the crossbow and 10 bolts as a double move. FORLIN has magical and masterwork bolts. You can choose what type you wish to take. You must take either 10 magical or 10 masterwork. You won't know the magical bonuses, I will take those into account. The light crossbow is a mundane item.

Spell Running: Prayer

FORLIN grabs his holy symbol and drops to his knees. His hands clasp the holy symbol between his palms in prayer. FORLIN chants as his knees hit the ground. Wind begins to blow dead leaves around the cleric as he chants. FORLIN's low chanting rises in volume as FORLIN's legs pull him to his feet. FORLIN releases his holy symbol, letting it fall back against his the metal of his banded mail. The holy symbol is glowing, emanating a soft, white glow. Forlin spreads his hands up and out, and allies within the company feel a surge in their steadfastness and determination.

FORLIN returns to his calm demeanor as the holy symbol's glow fades.
"KIRAK, I'll be taking to the air after this. The increased mobility will increase my ability to aid."

DM: All characters are now also under a Bless spell. I will also add the morale bonus to attacks and saves against fear.

To HLIN the impact feels akin to being rolled over by an avalanche of boulders. The wind is knocked from her lungs, ribs crack, and her head reels in pain. To HLIN's horror her entire body is stuck to the pseudopod that reached out to attack her. The pseudopod collapses back into the main body of OOZE, carrying HLIN along with her.

OOZE moves NORTHEAST as the pseudopod returns to it. HLIN's capture does not seem to slow it.

DM to EVILBOB: HLIN is completely and hopelessly trapped on to the surface of the OOZE. No amount of grapple checks can free her. However, a comrade can try a Str Check (DC 16) to pull you free. Your savior will suffer an attack of opportunity, should they try. Also, HLIN is considered grapples, so you lose all Dex and Dodge bonuses to AC. Lastly, HLIN is neutralized as a combatant. She is defenseless.

ROUND THREE: TA'HEED/PA'CHEEN

The two flying Suel watch HLIN become stuck to OOZE. They both nod at one another.

TA'HEED shouts
"PA' CHEEN stay on the OOZE, I will assist HLIN. Lieutenant, be prepared to grab when I become visible again, unless you grab her before me."
Without explanation, TA'HEED slowly begins to fade from view. He grows more translucent, the coloration of his skin and clothing becoming more of a light green. An instant later his form evaporates into green vapor and TA'HEED is no more.

PA'CHEEN returns to OOZE. With a gleam in his eye and deep laughter from his lungs, PA'CHEEN blasts OOZE with another cone of bluish-white ice and wind from his cupped hands. The attack is focused on the sections of OOZE behind HLIN.

Parts of OOZE are blasted off by the wintry blast. Other pieces, like before, are frozen, sink into OOZE, and are consumed.

MARTIN rushes 30' to (24, 25). As he steps past FORLIN, he gets his first ever clear look at just what a FLOTSAM OOZE is. MARTIN lurches to a stop in shock & his body instinctively reacts, firing an arrow. As MARTIN fires, he blurts out "What giant abomination sneezed that thing?!"
